Otto's creek is what I call a small nameless(?) creek at Otto's Farm Park in Hillsborough, NJ. This park is very close to my home and I often paint here when I don't feel like driving anywhere further. I like having a spot I can get to quickly, with little fuss:
"Otto's Creek"
6x8" oil on canvas

This scene on Rockaway Creek is located somewhere between the towns of Oldwick and Cokesbury in Tewksbury Twp, NJ. I painted this small 8x10" version on location, en plein air:
"Rockaway Creek" (plein air version)
8x10" oil on linen

Sometime later, back in the studio, I painted this larger 18x24" version using the plein air painting and photographs for reference:
"Rockaway Creek" (studio version)
18x24" oil on canvas

Here's another spot near my home that I've painted often - the Neshanic River, near Neshanic Station, NJ. Otto's Creek joins the Neshanic here:
"Spring on the Neshanic"
7x14" oil on board
7x14" oil on board
