"In Our Nature"
a 2-person show with
Joe Kazimierczyk and Beatrice Bork
at Artists' Gallery, Lambertville, NJ
Oct 8 - Nov 1, 2020

It's been a strange year, but things are returning to normal in
Lambertville and Artists' Gallery has resumed it's normal show schedule.
This October I am once again showing with acclaimed watercolorist
Beatrice Bork in a show entitled "In Our Nature".
"Ken Lockwood Gorge"
oil on canvas, 12 x 24"
In this show, I continue my exploration of the parks of northern New
Jersey - the mountains, rivers and forests have been providing endless
inspiration for my artwork.
Beatrice continues to be inspired by her animal subjects which she
paints with such exquisite detail and sensitivity to composition.
"Yggdrasil"
on Allamuchy Mountain
oil on canvas, 24 x 30"
Most of my painting titles are self-explanatory but this one needs a little explaining.
This is one very impressive tree.
It's trunk is marked with so many wrinkles and scars, it feels really ancient.
I was reminded of some comments I heard about my earlier tree paintings,
and someone had mentioned Yggdrasil -
in Norse mythology, Yggdrasil is an immense mythical tree at the center of the cosmos
where it connects the Nine Worlds. The gods visit Yggdrasil daily.
This tree is Yggdrasil. I am sure of it. (What a strange year it's been).
This is the most work that I will have on display at any one time this year,
so I hope you get a chance to stop by and see the show.
Due to the pandemic, there is no opening reception, but otherwise the gallery
is open it's normal hours. If you need to see the show outside of normal
gallery hours, please let me know and we can arrange something.
"In Our Nature" runs October 8 - November 1
